‘No More Mr. Nice Guy.’ Man demands solar company fix house damage
A Valhalla man says he’s had a slew of problems since his solar panels were installed and that the solar company just won't fix them.
Eric Parker had solar panels installed on his house two years ago, but last November the roof started to leak. Parker says that leaking has caused major damage to the ceiling in his kitchen, dining and living room, and he's concerned it could cause black mold.
He says this shouldn't be happening, since his roof was replaced after a tree fell on it during Superstorm Sandy.
Parker says he reported the issue to his solar provider SunPower, which contracted the installation to another company. A report by SunPower shows the installation work was shoddy and repairs need to be made.
He says he wants this nightmare to end.

"No more Mr. Nice Guy. I need to have my house fixed right through the living room, dining room to make sure there is no mold mildew damage,” he says.

News 12 reached out to SunPower for comment, and they said they are looking into the matter.
