Two people were injured when an SUV crashed into a three-story building in Brownsville Sunday, according to the Department of Buildings.
Authorities say it happened at 657 East 98th St. at around 3 a.m.
They say they were able to extract the driver that was trapped inside the vehicle.
News 12 is told that the driver was arrested. Investigators are looking into whether or not he was driving while under the influence.
Police say the two injuries were minor, but it's unclear if someone inside the building was hurt. They say only the driver was in the car at the time.
The crash also left a hole in the wall of the building and the owner has been ordered to board it up. The crash did not affect the structural stability of the building.
