Officials: Bushwick fire being investigated as suspicious
A deadly Bushwick fire is now being investigated as suspicious.
Police say 25-year-old Lorena Escalera died early Saturday after a fire tore through her apartment at 47 Furman Ave.
Residents in the building told News 12 Brooklyn the fire started on the third floor and left the apartment completely gutted.
Fire investigators are continuing to look for clues on how it started. 1 dead in Bushwick apartment building fire
