Public advocate launches campaign to fight G train service cuts
Residents upset over the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's plans for the G train line are getting a little help today.
Public Advocate Bill DeBlasio has helped launch a campaign titled "5 Stop Fan Club" to help fight possible cuts to the G train service. Residents say they have been enjoying the added service on the G train, which now has stops in Park Slope and Windsor Terrace. They say it has made getting from one side of the borough to the other much easier.
However, the MTA is not sure now if the extended service will be permanent.
