Commuters who use the N train might be affected by some incoming changes starting on Monday.
There will be no southbound N train service along several stops on the Sea Beach line. The service will be halted until Fall 2018 while the final phase of a $395 million renovation project covering nine stations between 8th Avenue and Stillwell Avenue is completed.
Some commuters in Gravesend say they are unhappy because they will be forced to move to other options like the F or D trains. Other say they don’t mind because their alternate options are close by.
Another concerned faction is businesses near these affected subway stops that will see less foot traffic during the changes.
The renovated stations will see new platforms, brighter lighting, new stairs and a repainting.
