Residents fight to save garden in Crown Heights
Residents in Crown Heights are determined to save a beloved community garden.
The "Roger That Garden Project" has been at the corner of Park Place and Rogers Avenue for almost a decade.
According to the Department of Buildings' website, a real estate company may have other plans for the green space. Neighbors told News 12 that TYC Realty, which owns the land, filled out a city application to construct a residential building there.
Residents say the area is a great place to get exercise, and many come by the garden every day.
Neighbors started a petition because they say they're not getting answers about the future of their beloved green space.
News 12 reached out to both TYC Realty and Odaye Design, the other business listed on the application, but has not yet heard back.
