A senior center hosted a "This Is Your Life" presentation for a 96-year-old resident Friday evening. 

The presentation was held at the Humans of Maplewood Senior Living Center. The Legacy Project gathered information about 96-year-old Joseph Messina's life and told his story in front of family and friends.

Messina was born in Brooklyn, went on to college and law school and married his wife in 1950. 

One significant musical moment in his life was a concert where he saw Frank Sinatra perform.

Messina hopes his legacy will be his family and his involvement in community organizations.
