The NYPD says they have identified the man accused of attacking an 88-year-old woman during a home invasion robbery in Coney Island on Christmas morning.
They say Marc Malone, 50, broke into Lyubov Faynshteyn’s apartment.
According to police, Malone gained access into Lyubov's secured senior citizen home apartment and forced her to sit in her bedroom while he riffled through her belongings. Malone then punched her in the face when she attempted to get up.
Speaking mostly in Russian, Lyubov described the moment when Malone noticed she had pressed her emergency button to alert authorities. She says Malone hit her in the face again and then fled.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
