Study: Reckless driving rampant on BK roads
A new traffic study released Wednesday claims that some Brooklyn drivers are practicing dangerous habits on the roads with little attention from law enforcement.
According to the report, published by the advocacy group Transportation Alternatives, potentially life-threatening traffic violations occur about three times a minute at the intersection of Smith and 9th streets. Some of these violations include ignoring roadway markings and traffic signs.
Another hot spot cited by the study is the corner of Prospect Place and Carlton Avenue. The advocacy group claims police didn't issue a single summons for the duration of the 18-hour study.
