Teen violence awareness walk held in Sunset Park
The Brooklyn Healing Center and other organizations hosted a walk in the borough today to raise awareness about teen violence.
Teens and other community members marched down Fourth Avenue holding signs and passing out fliers. According to the Center for Anti-Violence Education, one in four teenage girls say they know someone their age who has been hit by a boyfriend.
Event organizers say only a fraction of those who experience dating violence report it. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
