Tenants take landlord to court after failed building repairs

<p>Some Bronx tenants are taking their landlord to court because they say he is not doing the repairs needed after a fire broke out in the building over the summer.&nbsp;</p>

Some Bronx tenants are taking their landlord to court because they say he is not doing the repairs needed after a fire broke out in the building over the summer.
In July, a fire erupted at the apartment building on East 163rd Street, injuring 12 people and damaging many homes.
The tenants say the landlord has taken money from them for the repairs but that changes have not been made.
A spokesperson for the tenants says they are fighting to have a neutral administrator in the building to make the repairs and make the building safe.
"We have electrical issues, we have ceilings infested with mold," tenant Natasha Tosca says. "The wooden beams are infested and nothing is getting repaired properly."
News 12 has reached out to the landlord and a representative for him multiple times but has not heard back.
