A town hall meeting was held tonight to address the recent cuts that eliminated B4 bus service to Sheepshead Bay and surrounding neighborhoods. Riders are finding themselves in a 'transit desert', with complaints ranging from buses skipping stops to stops eliminated altogether. The Sheepshead Bay-Plumb Beach Civic Association hosted the town hall in order to garner support from community members for a petition to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Though transit officials were not in attendance, they say they're willing to look over the proposals that came from the meeting and are looking at possible service extensions to address the issues raised.

Several southern Brooklyn representatives united in favor of a new resolution for the plight of the commuters, including Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz and Councilman Michael Nelson.
