New York City transit workers are sounding the alarm over safety issues on buses and subways.
The city hosted the first national transit workers assault conference Thursday to address a growing number of attacks on employees and urge prosecution to the fullest extent.
Brooklyn workers joined in the call for more bus cameras and operator safety shields, remembering the fatal stabbing of driver Edwin Thomas in Bed-Stuy back in 2008.
