A 3-alarm deli fire left one firefighter injured Monday in Woodlawn Heights.
News 12 is told the firefighter was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
The fire happened in the basement of Katonah Family Deli. Three workers inside at the time tell News 12 it happened in an ‘instant’.
They say they called 911 right away and got out. The FDNY arrived at around 8:30 a.m. with more than 130 firefighters to tackle the flames.
News 12 is told the fire started in the basement but quickly spread to the two floors above.
One person was treated at the scene. No other businesses were damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
