Gun violence continues in the Bronx as another person was shot near the Bronx Terminal Market.
This shooting is at least the third shooting in the Bronx today.
According to police, a man was shot around 2:30 p.m. at East 151st Street and River Avenue, right next to the Bronx Terminal Market.
A Citizen app video shows the crime scene with a crowd gathered in front of the market. The video then shows police and EMTs helping the victim onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.
Police say the 42-year-old victim was shot in the chest and taken to Lincoln Hospital.
“I feel so sad because we live in the Yankee Stadium area. Yesterday the Yankees lost the game and now a shooting around here, it is like this area is cursed now. It’s not good for us. Although, I’m praying the young men stop shooting, it’s not safe for this area,” said a witness who was shopping at the mall when the shooting happened.
Police say the victim is not likely to die from his injuries, but there are no arrests at this hour.
