An 11-year-old boy was killed early Saturday morning in Flatbush after being hit by a car police say was speeding.
Police say three cars were racing down East 42nd Street and one of them struck Rondell Grant Jr. Police have arrested 19-year-old Naquan Mandry, who they say hit Grant.
One woman who has lived on East 42nd Street for the past 25 years says cars frequently speed down the street. She says she hopes the tragedy leads to changes.
"It's bad, they come down here like they're on a highway," she says.
Police charged Mandry with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
