A child chef from Gravesend will be appearing on a cooking competition this month on the Food Network.
Lauren Zilberman, 12, has been cooking since she was 7 years old. She entered an online competition a few months ago and was one of eight children selected for the show "Rachael Versus Guy -- Kids' Cook-Off."
During the show, the contestants are mentored by celebrity chefs Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri. The grand prize is their very own Food Network series.
The show premieres on the Food Network on Aug. 17.
