The New York Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying three individuals after a car was broken into in Sheepshead Bay.

Police say three men entered a vehicle by breaking the driver's side window and removed a suitcase which contained $120,000 worth of jewelry.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Avenue U and East 26th Street.

The three people were last seen taking off in a gray Dodge Caravan.

No one was hurt during the robbery, police say, and it’s unclear if the thieves have any connection to the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
