Thirteen names have been added to a special 9/11 memorial wall at FDNY headquarters in Downtown Brooklyn.
What separates the FDNY memorial from the one at the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan is that it recognizes the firefighters who died from lingering health effects related to their work at Ground Zero during and after the Sept. 11 attacks.
A ceremony was held to remember the latest 13 heroes to have their names engraved on the wall, just one week before the 13th anniversary of the attacks.
Two of the additions to the wall were from Brooklyn.
