Yankee Stadium is already selling official World Series merchandise, just one day after a dramatic homerun by Juan Soto propelled the Bronx Bombers back into the World Series for the first time in 15 years.

The Yankees clinched the American League Championship Series on Saturday night after the team defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 5-2.

“It’s amazing,” said Andrew Gleason, who at the stadium with his wife, Kate. “We actually got married at Yankee Stadium in September, and this is our second time back since we got married. We’re so excited. We’ll be back a third time to see the Yankees play in the World Series, for sure.”

“It was spectacular,” said Angel Rodriguez, another Yankees fan who purchased merchandise on Sunday. “We were waiting for [another World Series], a lot of years.”

“We’re from Texas but born and raised a Yankees fan,” said Sam Adami. “So, to actually be here in the city when they’re making it to the World Series is super exciting.”

The Fall Classic begins Friday, Oct. 25. The Yankees will face the winner of the National League Championship Series between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The team store is selling World Series hats, T-shirts and sweatshirts inside the stadium. Entry to the stadium is on Babe Ruth Plaza, between Gate 4 and Gate 6. The store will be open on nongame days from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
