At least 15,000 Muslims celebrated Eid Al-Fitr in Bensonhurst Park Friday.
The holiday marks the end of Ramadan when Muslims fast.
Eid al-Fitr translates to the 'feast of the breaking of the fast.'
The Muslim celebration ceremony in Bensonhurst Park is the largest prayer gathering of its kind in the U.S.
Elected officials and community leaders attended, joining conversations about Islamophobia and safety to practice their religion.
Several other ceremonies were also held around the city.
