The teenage boy who fell to his death Friday in Williamsburg has been identified by family members.

Timothee Englund, 16, sustained severe head trauma after falling from a ladder connected to a tower at Bushwick Inlet Park just after 1 p.m., that's according to police.

He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the fall and the events leading up to the incident were not immediately clear.

Parkgoers tell News 12 they were surprised by the lack of police presence.

“You would expect at least police tape or guards or something," said Daniel, a Williamsburg resident.

Residents say there's been a hole in the fence near the tower for years now.

News 12 reached out to the NYPD for a statement about the investigation.
