Runners from all across the city gathered at McCarren Park today on the newly refurbished track for the first time since the renovations have been completed. The North Brooklyn Runners Club and the Open Space Alliance say approximately 150 runners showed up to give the new 400-meter loop a try. Organizers hope that today's event will become an annual tradition at McCarren Park.
