2-alarm fire breaks out in Greenpoint

A two-alarm fire broke out near the intersection of Manhattan Avenue and Calyer Street in Greenpoint early Tuesday morning. Fire officials say the blaze broke out sometime before 4 a.m. at 817 Manhattan

A two-alarm fire broke out near the intersection of Manhattan Avenue and Calyer Street in Greenpoint early Tuesday morning.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out sometime before 4 a.m. at 817 Manhattan Ave.
The two-story building, housing a hardware store on the first floor and apartments on the second floor, suffered the most damage. 
Fire officials say two firefighters sustained minor injuries but no residents were injured during the fire.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
