Police say two Brooklyn bus drivers are recovering after they were attacked in separate incidents in Prospect Park and Crown Heights yesterday. Police say a man stabbed a bus driver with a syringe at the stop on Greenwood Avenue by Prospect Avenue West. Investigators are now on the hunt for the suspect, who is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and between 45 and 50 years old. The driver is being treated at Methodist Hospital. Just moments later, the MTA says another driver was shoved into a partition at the stop on Utica Avenue at Saint James Place. Investigators say the driver was helping a wheelchair-bound passenger board the bus when a woman became irate that she had to wait to get off. First responders say the driver was hospitalized with minor back injuries. The bus drivers' union says attacks against drivers happen about three times every week. The union is urging the MTA to install higher partitions to protect bus drivers and to institute a program what would compensate commuters who help transit workers in distress. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.2 Brooklyn bus drivers attacked within minutes of each other
