The MTA says two subway stations in Bushwick will close down for several months over the next two years while they're under renovation. The first to close will be the M line at the Knickerbocker Avenue station. The MTA says it will close in June 2012 and won't reopen until next November.
The Central Avenue subway station will also close, from Feb. 2013 through July of that year. The station's mezzanines will be demolished and new platform stairs will be installed, along with an additional turnstile, officials say.The MTA says extra bus service will be provided for commuters while the renovations are under way.
