Two children were struck by vehicles Friday evening, fairly close to one another.
Police say the first incident happened near the corner of Malcolm X Boulevard and Hancock Street. EMS says a child around 13 years old was hit shortly before 6 p.m.
The child was taken to Kings County Hospital, and their condition is unknown at this time.
Just minutes later, an 8-year-old boy was hit by a car near Fulton Street and Utica Avenue. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition. The driver in that incident reportedly stayed on the scene.
