A car slammed into a residential house in Flatlands Thursday afternoon, injuring two people.

The incident occurred on Avenue N and East 59th Street around 2 p.m.

The two injured people were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

It was not immediately clear how the driver ended up crashing into the home.

A representative from the Department of Buildings says they were called to the scene to conduct a structural stability inspection of the two-story house.

They deemed the building structurally sound despite damage to the front and side of the home.

A vacate order has been issued for the damaged part of the building. The agency says the rest of the home can remain occupied.
