Police released images of the two men they say brutally attacked a 31-year-old man in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Thursday night, leaving the victim critically injured.

Detectives say the attack unfolded around 10 p.m. after an argument escalated into a physical fight in front of 158 Tompkins Ave.

According to the NYPD, one man struck the victim in the head with a brick while the other stomped on his head.

Investigators say the 31-year-old sustained head trauma. Paramedics rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon.

Police say both men ran away after the attack - one man fled eastbound on Hart Street while the other took off northbound on Tompkins Avenue.

The NYPD urges anyone with information to call its Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
