2 teens accused in 2 robberies in Canarsie

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two teens accused in two robberies and an attempted robbery in Canarsie, including an incident caught on camera where a 16-year-old was pistol-whipped.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two teens accused in two robberies and an attempted robbery in Canarsie, including an incident caught on camera where a 16-year-old was pistol-whipped.
According to investigators, all of the incidents took place on April 1 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. In the first incident, police say that the teens took an iPhone from a 13-year-old girl on East 86th Street. Later, they are accused of attempting to steal from a 20-year-old man on Avenue J and East 86th Street.
In the last incident, the teens were caught on camera beating a 16-year-old on Avenue K. Police say that the pair pistol-whipped the boy several times and stole his iPhone.
Many people who live in the area say that they are horrified by the crimes and that they want local leaders and police to take action to prevent this kind of violence.
Authorities say that the suspects are around 5 feet 7 inches tall and in their late teens.
