Report: Nearly 10,000 preschoolers with disabilities did not receive mandated special needs services
The Department of Education says they are committed to righting this wrong.

An analysis released Tuesday by Advocates for the Children of New York found nearly 10,000 preschool students with disabilities in New York City did not receive the services they legally are required to receive by the city's Department of Education.
The group said that when they looked at data, 9,800 pre-K public school students with disabilities last school year did not receive any resources that they were recommended for including speech, occupational and physical therapy.
The Department of Education says they are committed to righting this wrong. They say they expanded their team of occupational, physical and speech therapists dedicated to serving preschool students in New York City early education centers.
