Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says Friday will be hot and humid with storms arriving in the afternoon to break the heat. A heat advisory continues for NYC through 6 p.m.
While air temperatures will be below 90, the high humidity will make it dangerously hot again with feels-like temperatures between 95 and 100.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for New York City that will be active until 11 p.m. Severe storms may bring strong winds, heavy rain, and possible hail or flying debris.
Tonight: A humid night with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, lows from the low- to mid-70s.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, highs from the from the low- to mid-80s.
Sunday: Warm and humid with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, highs from the upper-70s to the low-80s.
Monday: Clouds and rain with a chance of thunderstorms, highs from the mid-70s to the low-80s.
Tuesday: Sun and clouds, highs from the upper-70s to the low-80s.
Wednesday: Clouds and rain, highs from the mid- to upper-70s.
