As all five boroughs got their fair share of excessive rain, high-speed wind and flooding conditions, residents along Prospect Place got something else, too – a large tree that came crashing down.

The tree collapsed on Friday afternoon and lodged itself into multiple cars, including, most prominently, a Nissan Altima that has been crushed.

The street of Prospect Place between Carlton and Flatbush avenues is now shut down, as the concrete is cracked into pieces both on the sidewalk and street.

The city’s Parks Department tells News 12 that it is actively tracking the impact this storm is having on trees across the city and addressing any tree-related reports. Right now, there is no timetable for when this tree will be removed.
