History was made at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum as they welcomed Atiba T. Edwards as the new president and CEO of the central Brooklyn attraction, making him the first Black man in this role.
Edwards hails from St. Vincent, having migrated to Crown Heights in his childhood. He now serves and leads the place where he once played as a child and has been in a leadership role with the museum since 2019.
Edwards worked to bring to life things such as the ArtRink exhibition and the inauguration of the state-of-the-art auditorium. He says he has high expectations for the museum in the new year.
