Attacker on the run after slashing man’s face on Coney Island

The NYPD says an overnight shooting has a man recovering in the hospital as the shooter remains on the loose in Brooklyn.

According to police, a 22-year-old victim was shot once in the torso at Mother Gaston Boulevard near the intersection with Hegeman Avenue at around 9:20 p.m.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made at this time.
