An 11-month-old boy died Friday morning of burn injuries from a leaking furnace in a Midwood home, authorities say.
Police say they were dispatched to 890 East 14th St. around 6 a.m. and discovered an 11-month-old boy inside a bedroom suffering from burns from a heating furnace.
The boy was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.
Police say the heating furnace was leaking steam into the room.
No arrests have been made at this time.
