Communities across Long Island are planning to hold National Night Out events on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Some events are being rescheduled due to concerns over tonight's weather. Check with your local police department for any possible changes before you head out to an event.

Below is a list of some of the events:

Westbury:

  • Martin "Bunky" Reid Park - Broadway & Urban Avenues, Westbury

  • 6-8 p.m.

Baldwin:

  • Baldwin Senior High School

  • 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Long Beach:

  • Kennedy Plaza

  • 4-7 p.m.

Bethpage:

  • Bethpage High School

  • 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Freeport:

  • Freeport Northeast Park

  • 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Village of Hempstead

Port Washington
