G train to make return to full service after Labor Day

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority's summerlong project to update signaling across the entire G line is coming to a close very soon.
Full G line service will resume at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
In June, the MTA announced a plan to update signaling for the G train. The MTA stated this new, modern system means more reliable service for the 160,000 commuters who take the G train daily. The MTA rolled out the three-month project in three phases, including halting train service ranging from Court Square and Nassau Avenue to Bedford-Nostrand Avenue and Church Avenue.
To offset the inconvenience, the MTA arranged for free B-93 shuttle buses to operate between the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue and Hoyt-Schermerhorn stations.
In late June, the DOT closed the Bedford slip to traffic to help facilitate G train shuttle buses. This allowed the area on the corner of Bedford Avenue and Nassau Avenue to be used as a pedestrian plaza.
