A Long Island man with a history of property theft in Brooklyn has been arraigned after allegedly attempting to steal a Fort Greene home for a second time.

Danny Noble was arraigned Tuesday on three charges, including grand larceny and falsifying business records.

He is accused of filing a fraudulent deed for 71 Carlton Ave. in 2023.

The case comes four years after Noble served in prison for similar crimes.

In 2019, Noble pleaded guilty to illegally transferring the titles of seven houses to himself, including the Carlton Avenue property. He was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison.

The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office recommends homeowners take precautions due to the prevalence of deed and title theft. This incudes ensuring the Department of Finance has its correct address, registering for automatic notifications of deed changes and avoiding signing contracts they do not understand.

Noble is expected back in court on April 23. His bail was set at $2.5 million bond or $300,000 cash.
