More than 100 customers were left in the dark for hours after two fires in Crown Heights — both of them happening just hours apart.

Con Edison confirms the fire that started in the manhole caused the outages.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to reports of flames and smoke coming out of a manhole on Albany Avenue. They managed to get it under control around 2 am.

But shortly after, firefighters rushed to put out another fire nearby that started in the cellar of a home on Lincoln Place between Albany and Troy avenues. One neighbor says she was getting ready to go to sleep when the fire first started. She says her lights kept flickering, and she had no idea what was going on.

"Then the power just stayed really, really low," said Mary Marxcn. "And I just decided to turn off everything else because I was a little afraid."

No one was hurt.

As of 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, some residents are still without power.
