NYPD: 54-year-old arrested in connection to Chauncey Street Subway Station attack and robbery

The NYPD says they arrested 54-year-old Lewis Doctor on Wednesday afternoon in connection with a violent robbery that left a woman injured inside the Chauncey Street subway station.
Police say Doctor slashed a 26-year-old woman in the chin on Sunday before throwing her to the ground, punching her several times and taking off with her phone, cash and other personal belongings.
The arrest was made Wednesday at Transit District 33, where Doctor was seen being led out in handcuffs.
He did not respond to questions from News 12 as he was escorted into a police vehicle.
Doctor is now facing robbery charges.
Police say the victim is recovering from her injuries.
