The NYPD is searching for a man who is accused of viciously assaulting a 3-year-old in Kensington.

The 3-year-old girl can be seen on video slamming into the sidewalk, Aug. 25 around 1 p.m. near McDonald Avenue and Albemarle Road, according to police.

The girl's mom, who asked to remain anonymous for her daughter's safety, said it happened so fast and she couldn't confirm it was intentional until after seeing the video.

Neighbors say they've seen the suspect loitering in the area for almost a month.

“He usually comes from [the] corner, and he’ll cross here into Foodtown and steal some potato chips and run down to the train station,” said Ian, a neighbor.

The concerned parent told News 12 her family is eager to get the suspect behind bars, adding in a written statement he's "dangerous and should not have a chance to attack any other baby."

While the victim was not hospitalized, she's recovering from injuries on her arm.

According to mom, her daughter is in good spirits and is not quite sure what happened.

She told her mom she thinks "some guy was just being rude and bumped into her."

The suspect was last seen wearing a green jacket, black pants and gray sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
