A man was caught trying to change the locks at a home in Herricks, Nassau police say.
The owner of the home reported the disturbance on Sept. 12.
When officers showed up, Saj Shahriar allegedly told them he was leasing the property.
An investigation determined that wasn't true, according to police.
Shahriar is facing burglary and forgery charges.
