A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged after police say he ran from officers while carrying an illegal, loaded gun in Brownsville.

It happened around 11 p.m. on Jan. 8, but the NYPD only released the police body cam video on Wednesday.

That video shows officers chasing down the alleged gunman near Pitkin and Rockaway avenues.

You can hear an officer yell “stop” as they run about two blocks.

The video shows the alleged gunman trying to enter an apartment building near Rockaway and East New York avenues, when he trips over a garden railing and falls to the ground.

Officers jumped on top of him and found him carrying a loaded pistol.

Police blurred the man’s face in the video but said they arrested and charged 19-year-old Skylar Mclean, of Brownsville.

“It’s real sad, man,” said Vernon Grace, of Brownsville, reacting to the NYPD video. “They’ve been doing this for years. This is nothing new out here in Brownsville. Brownsville gonna always be Brownsville.”

Mclean faces several charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.
