Cigar bar fire in Prospect Heights leaves 7 injured

Seven people were injured, including two firefighters, when a fire broke out on the first floor of a cigar bar in Prospect Heights, according to officials.

Firefighters responded to a fire to 593 Washington Ave. just after 2:30 a.m. The flames were under control an hour later.

Six victims were taken to nearby hospitals for minor injuries and are expected to be OK.

It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
