A large-breed dog was rescued in the waters of Lake Mohegan in Fairfield.
Katrina Billings told News12 she saw the dog struggling after apparently getting caught on something in the water.
So, she jumped into the lake as the pet owner and family watched on to save the stuck animal.
The Fairfield resident said she simply did what any true pet lover would have done.
