Caught on Camera: Bikers rescue unconscious driver, passenger and child in Brooklyn

A group of bikers jumped into action to rescue an unconscious driver and passenger who turned into oncoming traffic on Kings Highway and Beverly Road earlier this month.
The dramatic footage, recorded on a head‑mounted camera worn by biker Chad Harris, shows a vehicle slowly crossing into the wrong lane as riders approach. Harris and others can be seen attempting to wake the unresponsive man and woman inside, shaking them and calling out with no reaction.
"We heard the boom, and saw the car hit the other one and we had to turn around to see what was going on," he said.
When efforts failed, the bikers called 911 and turned their attention to the child in the back seat, removing the child from the vehicle.
“The child in the back seat was yelling 'My daddy, my daddy,’ it was a cry for help,” Harris said. He added that the adults began turning purple, prompting the group to escalate their calls for help.
FDNY says both adults in the front row were removed from the vehicle and given Narcan before being taken to Brookdale Hospital, along with the child.
Harris tells News 12 that the mother of the child, who was not the woman seen in the passenger seat in the video, reached out to thank him and let him know the child was uninjured.
"It's a scary thing for her, for the child, for us, for seeing it. We need to be more careful when we are with our kids," Harris said.
According to police, the 34-year-old driver, Joseph Santanelli has been charged with aggravated DWI and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17.
