Two dog breeders on Long Island are listed among the top 100 worst in the country.

Blue Ribbon Puppies and Sportsman's Kennels, both operating out of Manorville, were ranked in the annual Horrible Hundred report by Humane World for Animals.

The report cited an investigation conducted into Sportsman's Kennels earlier this year, where a hidden camera found sick and matted puppies among roaches.

This is the sixth time Sportsman’s has appeared on the list and cited with recurring veterinary care issues and unsanitary conditions, according to the animal protection group.

As News 12 has reported, the owner of Blue Ribbon Puppies was arrested last month for allegedly keeping 23 dogs and puppies in poor conditions.

John Kowal was charged with animal neglect after failing a state inspection in February.
