Police say a 60-year-old man is fighting for his life after being attacked and robbed inside a Crown Heights deli on Eastern Parkway on April 22.

Around 12:30 a.m. last Wednesday, sources say three attackers followed the 60-year-old man into the deli, punching and kicking him in the face and taking his wallet before running away.

EMS took the victim to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he is still in critical condition a week later.

Sources close to the investigation say one of the attackers and the victim know each other as they have children by the same woman.

Jane Yearwood says people in the community have heard about it and are concerned.

"I feel so bad for him. That wasn't good at all. I heard he couldn't breathe and that they had to perform CPR on him. That was surprising to hear that he was 60 years old," said Yearwood.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
