Mother’s Day was celebrated throughout the Bronx on Sunday as families spent the day honoring the women who do it all.
Many mothers were still hard at work in Canarsie while helping others make the holiday special.
One mother spent the day selling flowers and teddy bears to last-minute shoppers looking for gifts for the moms in their lives. Between helping customers and spending time with her children, she said she was looking forward to ending the day with her family later on Sunday evening.
People stopped by flower stands and gift tables across the neighborhood to pick up last-minute tokens of appreciation and celebrate the mothers in their lives.
